Our Kids Soup Sunday

Our Kids Soup Sunday is a wonderful event involving restaurants, fantastic soup, cooking contests, wonderful entertainment and a silent auction. Our Kids Klassic Golf Tournament 2007

The Kids Klassic Golf Tournament is the longest running fund raising event supporting Our Kids. This event is critical because it provides necessary funding to ensure that clinical staff are on call for emergencies 24 hours a day everyday of the year.

The 16th annual Our Kids Klassic will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Legends Club in nearby Franklin, Tenn.

The Klassic consists of two separate tournaments in one day (8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. shotgun starts). Players have a choice of playing in the morning or afternoon. The morning group enjoys a light breakfast before and awards luncheon immediately after play. For the afternoon group a box lunch is provided before the tournament and awards dinner afterward.

Levels of opportunity for participation in the Our Kids Klassic:

  • Major sponsorship packets to underwrite expenses ($1,500 to $5,000+) with amenities
  • Sign-up of a team at $600 for four or $150 per person, or a package deal of $800 for a team with hole sponsorship
  • Hole sponsorships at $400
  • Donation of a door prize
  • Prizes in multiples of four to give as team prizes
  • Donation of an item or service to include in the silent auction

Our Kids Knitting Need

Our Kids needs cuddly blankets for children who come to the center for a forensic evaluation. Patients use the blankets for comfort during and after an evaluation.

We are a grateful recipient of donated blankets from Project Linus, a nonprofit that provides new, handmade blankets and afghans to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

We welcome completed projects you have knitted at home or through other knitting circles. Please call (615) 341-4917 if you would like to donate a blanket.

Girls Night Out

From time to time, Our Kids volunteers plan a Girls Night Out event for women who are interested in a fun outing to visit with other women and learn about ways to help Our Kids. Many attendees choose to bring a toy for the toy closet. Refreshments are served in a relaxed atmosphere. For more information, please call 341-4917.

Nose to Toes Tours

Nose to Toes Tours are scheduled on a monthly basis to provide interested individuals and small groups the opportunity to learn about Our Kids and the issues and dynamics related to child sexual abuse. These tours are one hour in duration and are led by a member of the clinical staff. For more information or to sign up for a tour, please click here or call 341-4917.
