Our Kids' 15th Annual Soup Sunday at LP Field

Nashville, Tenn., (February, 2008) — On Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the LP Field Club Level West, Our Kids will host over 50 of Nashville's finest restaurants at Soup Sunday and will conduct the grand soup tasting event that has become an annual Nashville tradition.

Bring your whole family to LP Field for only $40. Taste some of the best soup Nashville has to offer and cast your vote for your favorite soup. Be entertained as celebrities such as defensive player Kyle Vanden Bosch of the Tennessee Titans and Rudy Kalis of News Channel 4 Sports judge the field for Most Creative Soup and Judges' Choice.

More serious soup connoisseurs will enjoy the Chef's Challenge in which restaurant industry leaders will judge a new field of competitors — a professional chef teamed with a high school culinary student — as they compete for the title of "Best Pro Am Chef Team" this year.

At the silent auction all guests will be able to find something they "have to have" as the kids enjoy the sleight-of-hand magician, balloon artists, face painters, and fun-loving clowns and caricaturists.

Our Kids' Soup Sunday is a fundraising event supported by founding sponsor USBank and benefits the Our Kids center, a nonprofit organization that provides medical and psychosocial evaluations and support for children where there are allegations or concerns of sexual abuse.

"Soup Sunday is a great Nashville tradition that raises money to help ensure that Our Kids' clinical staff is on call 24/7 to respond to children in crisis due to child sexual abuse," says Sue Fort White, Our Kids Executive Director. "We have seen this problem affect children all over Middle Tennessee, and this is a great way to help Our Kids help those kids."

Tickets may be purchased in advance for a discounted price at www.ourkidscenter.com as well as at the door the day of the event. Ticket prices at the door are as follows: $20 for adults, $10 for children/students, and $40 maximum per family. For more information, call Our Kids at (615) 341-4917.

The Our Kids mission is to provide expert medical and psychosocial services for children when there are allegations or concerns of child sexual abuse, to increase community awareness, participate in research and offer education and training about child maltreatment.
